	This pretty stone house was renovated in 2003; the stone construction, beamed ceilings and stone fireplace in the kitchen all contribute to the charm of the house, while the modern spacious bathroom and kitchen add to the comfort.
The main floor consists of a large kitchen with sitting area, eating area and fireplace; living room that opens onto a furnished tiled terrace; bedroom (double bed) that opens onto the same terrace; bathroom with shower, WC and sink; and laundry room with washing machine and second refrigerator. Stairs in the kitchen lead to a large second bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. All beds and linens were new in 2003. The house is located in a quiet hamlet of about twelve houses. there is private parking at the side, and a pretty garden surrounding the terrace at the back, leading to a meadow. Other features include telephone, electric heat throughout, barbecue, and household linens supplied at no cost . Small shops are located within 4 km, and supermarkets in Saintes (10 km). The best beaches in France begin at Royan (25 km) and continue for 100 km. The area is known for cognac distilleries, farmers' markets, excellent seafood, beaches and Roman ruins.
