	Open all year around, the Ecurie at La Fournerie is a perfect place to unwind and relax or to use as a base for excursions to some of Frances best attractions. Originally a stable, the Ecurie retains many of it's original features like stone walls and wood ceilings and floors. In addition, the upstairs windows command excellent views of not only the 2 acre lawn but mile upon mile of typical Cognac countryside.
Two good sized bedrooms comfortably sleeping 6 ,an upstairs bathrooms, a downstairs wc, and a large open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. In accordance with Gites de France “3 Epis” standards, Ecurie has a well equipped kitchen + TV/video, hair dryer, bed and kitchen linen, towels, pool towels, washing machine, bbq and a private terrace area. In addition, electricity is included as is heating in the cooler months.
The magnificent atlantic coast and the Charente region need a life time to explore, including the famous nearby towns of Angouleme, La Rochelle, Rochefort, Saintes and ofcourse Cognac which is only 10 minutes away. There a number of excellent golf courses nearby plus a multi-court tennis club.Alternatively, it’s only about an hour to breathtaking beaches or the Bordeaux wine region. Otherwise, stay close to home and walk or cycle through the vineyards, quiet lanes or along the Charente river.
